Questions to ask before getting started
Is there a minimum amount of money we need to work together?
No! We work with all clients, regardless of asset or income level. We do want to ensure that cost is not hindering progress in your financial plan. Our ongoing financial planning is a monthly subscription because of that.
What is the CFP® designation?
Advisors with the CFP® designation work with a fiduciary obligation. We also must meet an extensive education and experience requirements that ensure we are well informed and qualified to give financial advice. It is one of the highest standards in the industry, it is similar to the CPA designation for accountants.
What is your relationship with Core Planning?
Sole Financial is a proud member of Core Planning. Core Planning is a community of independent advisors. This allows us to focus on on clients while Core Planning deals with the other necessities of running a financial planning practice.
How and when do we meet? Is there any communication outside of meetings?
We meet via Google meet on a quarterly basis with our yearly planning clients. That being said, things change and come up. We encourage clients to reach out at any point to schedule a meeting or a call, even if we just met the day before. We communicate throughout the year via email as well.
What is a “Fee-Only” advisor?
“Fee-Only” is a term used to refer to how an advisor is paid. Sole Financial is a fee only advisor. We are paid directly from our clients through our financial planning work and investment management fees. We don’t receive commissions and will act in your best interest.
What if I don’t want to work with you anymore?
We understand situations change and you may need to pause or stop our work together. While we love working with clients long term, we value flexibility. That is why we offer pauses and cancellations at any point during our relationship.
Generally, we ask that clients finish the first year of planning to get the full value of our work together. This will ensure your foundation is secure before taking it into your own hands.
